Bringing Local Flavor to Evanston
North Shore Cider Company is an idea from Chris Collins, a local self-taught cider maker. His cidery opened in Evanston in early 2017. North Shore prides itself on bringing the best of the Midwest right to your front door.
According to Collins, North Shore’s cider is “full of flavor” because apple and pear juices are sourced from Earth First Farms in Berrien Center, Michigan. After the juices are delivered to North Shore Cider, yeast is added to the cider for fermentation, and the finished product is chilled and bottled.
What’s on Tap
North Shore Cider Company offers free tastings in the Tap Room, where you can enjoy cider classics and limited edition specialty ciders year round. Specialty ciders rotate on a regular basis. So, make sure to come back often to try everything North Shore Cider Company has to offer.
Cider classics on tap include Bone Dry, made with champagne yeast; the oak aged Stumped; fruity Violet Beauregarde; the Never Say Never Rosé; and The Ginger, made in partnership with Spice House in Evanston. Fill up a growler or take a bottle with you to enjoy the taste of cider at home.
